PSES

PSES

TPT’s Pension Scheme for the Education Sector (PSES) is open to schools, colleges and other educational institutes, and is open to academic and non-academic staff. The PSES scheme was established with effect from the 1 October 2019. Employees can join the Defined Contribution (DC) section of the scheme by contacting their employer.

The first scheme set up by TPT in 1946. Originally known as the General Fund. It has changed over time to take into account changes in the law and economic circumstances. There are 4 Growth Plan Schemes, and this is the only one which is a defined contribution scheme.

Ethical Fund

Ethical Fund

Around 970 organisations have chosen the Ethical Fund as their pension scheme for more than 9,000 members. Established in 1988, the Ethical Fund started life as the Unitised Ethical Plan. The fund aims to invest in companies that are operating in a more environmentally and socially-responsible way and it screens out investment in controversial sectors like tobacco and weapons.
